The Rainbow Baby Project | The Rose Quartz Photography, Hull

Over the past four years, I've had the pleasure of meeting countless tiny babies in their first few weeks along with hundreds of adoring new parents, but not all of their journeys have been an easy one. I've been trusted with so many stories of loss, pain and heartache.

I wanted to do something to help - even just a little. That's how The Rainbow Baby Project begun. To inspire hope, to spread awareness and to share a little love.

The Rainbow Baby Project offers a free "Rainbow Baby" newborn session each month to deserving families who are expecting their rainbow baby. You can nominate a friend, a family member or you can nominate yourself - all you have to do is share your story with me. Little by little, every time we talk about infant loss, we are spreading awareness.

WHAT IS A RAINBOW BABY?

A "rainbow baby" is a baby who is welcomed into a family after they have experienced a loss due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. A rainbow baby embodies hope and healing after grief and loss, no matter how short or long that journey is.

When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the ravage of the storm is forgotten - it means that something full of light and hope has appeared in the midst of the darkness.

My hope for this project is that every story we share gives a little bit more hope to families who are still stuck in their storm.

The Rose Quartz Photography's "Rainbow Baby" package includes:

2 - 3 hour newborn session,

Baby only and family portraits,

5 fully retouched digital images,

2 beautiful 10x8" prints of your choice,
