A Look Inside A Full Newborn Gallery | Newborn Baby Photographer, Hull

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

Are you thinking of booking a newborn session with The Rose Quartz Photography, but you'd like a look inside a full gallery first?

Although my website, blog and social media are a great way to get a gist of my style, the way I pose baby and the colour palettes I tend to stick to, when you're booking a newborn photographer, you're might want to see a full gallery - not just the ones cherry picked to show off online, and not just my own favourites!

I thought it's about time you took a glimpse into a full newborn gallery, so say hello to baby Beatrix! Amazing name, right? My first and only Beatrix.

Beatrix came along to the studio back in March - first with her mum and grandma, then a few days later with her dad for some family portraits, as he couldn't make the first session. Like all of my newborn sessions, I asked before hand what colours they'd like in her gallery. They decided on keeping her gallery pretty neural with lots of creams, and touches of their favourite colours: a little red, yellow and lilac.

Like most of my newborn sessions, I started with a simple white wrap and my gorgeous nest of wooly curls, so she could be placed into a digital backdrop during the editing process. If you'd like to find out more about digital backdrops, check out this blog post - I absolutely love them!

We went through multiple sets during Beatrix's session, but my favourite has to be this wooden heart! Lots of creams and whites (my favourite colour palette) and a really sweet half-wrap, which gave me the chance to grab some little toe close-ups too. Love!

Another thing that I love to do during my newborn sessions is to take a few minutes to capture some super natural images in just a simple white vest. It gives me the opportunity to get so many adorable close-ups: toes, hair, ears, lips. Super sweet, and super natural.

And here comes the pop of colour...

As Beatrix's dad couldn't come along to her mid-week shoot, we booked a second little "top-up" session for the coming weekend so the three of them could get some family portraits together and look how beautiful they are!

A beautiful family, beautiful new baby and a beautiful example of a recent, full newborn gallery. Massive thanks to Beatrix's lovely family for choosing me as their newborn photographer - a job I love so much.

If you're interested in booking your own newborn session, sessions can be secured as early as you're comfortable, with most parents choosing to book around 12 or 20 week. You can find out more here:

I'd love to be your newborn photographer!
